Independent design studio Motorcity Europe (MCE) is launching another series of two- and five-day design workshops aimed at broadening the skills, experience and job prospects of anyone working - or looking to work - within the field of automotive design. Based on the massive success of the MCE Summer Seminars, these follow up workshops in February 2010 will be an intensely improved version, open to all skill levels of design. This is the Mercedes GLA, essentially Merc’s Golf rival – the A-class – with its wellies on. The compact crossover is the baby of the Mercedes SUV family, and gives Stuttgart an answer to cars such as the Range Rover Evoque and Audi Q3. The GLA comes with a selection of four-cylinder petrol and diesel models; we’re testing the entry-level 200 CDI in top-spec AMG Line trim, yours for £28,030.
The week kicked off with renderings of a Maserati MC12 successor. We also reviewed the 2013 Nissan Nismo Juke and 2013 Cadillac ATS. Tuesday, we bench raced a new crop of supercars, comparing the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Pagani Huayra and Bugatti Veyron Super Sport -- read here to find which one came out on top.
